Multimedia

Multimedia services will build on users’ intuitive appreciation for multi-session engagement; for example social networking, video conferencing, creating content, sharing videos and music, or instant messaging.

To meet these needs, telecom operators are pursuing strategies of cooperation and partnership, shifting from charging for traffic to charging for access. Media companies are exploring new distribution channels, while internet players are focusing on peer-to-peer distribution and user-generated content.
Ericsson is convinced that success of multimedia will depend on the ability to deliver a seamless, converged and complete multimedia experience across diverse networks, devices and formats.
